How to Pay Your Optimum Bill: A Comprehensive Guide

Paying your monthly Optimum bill is easy and convenient with the variety of options available. As an Optimum customer myself I know how confusing it can be trying to figure out the best way to pay each month. That’s why I’ve put together this comprehensive guide on the many ways to pay your Optimum bill so you can choose the method that works best for you.

Online Payment Options

Paying online is the quickest and easiest way to pay your Optimum bill. You can pay directly on the Optimum website or through the My Optimum app.

Pay on Optimum.net

The Optimum website offers a few different online payment options

• Automatic Payments: Set up recurring payments to be automatically deducted from your bank account or charged to a debit/credit card each month. This ensures you never miss a payment.

• One-Time Payment: Make a one-time payment through the website using your bank account, debit card, or credit card. You can schedule a future payment or pay immediately.

• Through Your Bank: Many banks allow you to pay bills directly from their website. Check if your bank offers this. Just add Optimum as a payee and provide your 14-digit Optimum account number.

My Optimum App

You can easily pay your bill through the My Optimum app too. Just download the app, go to the Billing section, and choose a payment option. The app also lets you view your current bill and account balance.

Pay by Phone

If you prefer to speak to someone, you can pay your Optimum bill over the phone.

Call 1-866-213-7456 and use the automated system to make a payment by check, debit card, or credit card. Or you can ask to speak to a customer service agent who can process the payment for you.

Pay by Mail

Mailing in a payment is still a viable option if you’d like to pay by check or money order. Here’s how:

• Make your check or money order out to Optimum. Include your 14-digit account number.
• Mail it at least 1 week before the due date to ensure it’s received in time.

Pay In Person

You have a couple options for paying your Optimum bill in person:

Authorized Third-Party Locations

Optimum has partnered with CheckFreePay and Western Union to allow in-person payments at their locations across the country. Bring your 14-digit account number and cash/card to pay.

Optimum Stores

Visit one of Optimum’s local stores to pay by cash, check, money order, debit card, or credit card. Many locations have after-hours drop boxes too. Payments made in the drop box can take 2-3 business days to process.

Auto Pay

Signing up for Auto Pay through Optimum allows recurring monthly payments to be automatically deducted from your chosen bank account or charged to a debit/credit card. This ensures you never forget a payment.

To enroll in Auto Pay:

• Log into your Optimum account
• Under “Account Settings”, click on “Auto Pay”
• Choose your payment method and date
• Review and submit

It’s that easy to go on autopilot! I highly recommend Auto Pay to avoid late fees.

Avoid Payment Scams

With the rise in online scams, you have to be careful when paying your Optimum bill to ensure your money gets to the right place. Here are some tips:

• Only use optimum.net to pay online or manage your account. Don’t trust other sites.

• Never pay by gift card, cryptocurrency, or money transfer apps like Venmo. Optimum only accepts bank payments and debit/credit cards.

• Don’t click links in unexpected emails. Optimum doesn’t ask for payments via email.

• Confirm phone numbers match your bill and optimum.net before calling. Scammers set up fake numbers.

• Hang up if you suspect a call is fraudulent and call back using the official number.
